Zacisze Vineyard

Previous Next

Zacisze Vineyard is located in Trzcinica near Jasło. It was established in the spring of 2003 on the initiative of Paweł and Magdalena Szynal. They were encouraged by the successes achieved in this area by the winemaking pioneers in Subcarpathia and decided to follow in their footsteps by establishing a 10 acres vineyard. Very soon, after just two years, in 2005, the first wines were made, which gained the appreciation of tasters and encouraged further activities in the field of winemaking. In 2013 the owners increased the acreage of the vineyard to 0.8 ha and are planning to combine the cultivation with running an agritourism farm in its vicinity. The vineyard attracts tourists with an attractive location among the picturesque hills of the nearby foothills, far from the noise and traffic, from where you can admire the panorama of the foothills and the Low Beskids. On a clear day you can also see the Tatra mountains. The area is rich in various tourist attractions which significantly enriches the potential of the planned project. The Zacisze Vineyard produces approx. 2,000 litres of wine a year. Wines from the Zacisze Vineyard were presented at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Polish Winemakers Convention as well as during a tasting at the International Days of Wine in Jasło. During the Polish Wine Competitions, the wines were highly rated and won medals. Magdalena and Paweł Szynal belong to the Jaslo Winemakers' Association 'Vinum pro cultura'. They participate in trainings, conventions and conferences to broaden their knowledge and share experiences with other wine enthusiasts. During the 4th Polish Wine Competition, Jasło 2017, the wines Johanniter, Seyval and Jutrzenka won bronze medals in the category of Polish white wines.
