Łany Vineyard

The Łany Vineyard was established in 2007 in the Biała district in Rzeszów. It is the only vineyard in Rzesów, and its name refers to the name of the village in which Bogdan Kasperek started his adventure with winemaking. Initially, the vineyard occupied an area of approx. 0.5 ha; picturesquely situated on the south-west slope of the mountain and at the altitude of 260 to 280 m above sea level. The first planted grapevine varieties include: Regent, Solaris, Jutrzenka, Seyval Blanc, Johanniter, Marechal Foch, Acolon, Phoenix, Hibernal, Bianca. Currently, the vineyard has an area of 1.5 ha and further varieties were planted such as Chardonnay, Suvegine Grees, Tramine, Palava. In 2008, three terraces were made on the slope, where approx. 1,500 grapevine bushes were planted. In 2009, a vineyard cellar covering the area of 100 square meters with three chambers was sunk in the mountain slope. Due to its location on the terraced area and obscuration of the northern and eastern directions by the mountain, perfect conditions for the vegetation of the grapevines as well as their overwintering were created.

Since 2016 the Łany vineyard has a concession to sell wine on a retail basis. The wine can be now purchased on site and in the selected online stores. The names of wines refer to the names of grapevine varieties. Many wines have been awarded during national and international festivals and competitions. Wines produced in the Łany vineyard have received numerous awards and przes in national and international competitions. In the 4th Polish Wine Competition Jasło 2017 the wine Regent 2015 received a silver medal in the category of Polish red wines. The owner provides services in the field of enotourism. Commented tastings and tours are organised in the vineyard. There is a possibility of visits both for individual guests and organised groups. Touring around the vineyard is possible only upon prior arrangement with the owner.
